Maci has put an end to rodeoing since her accident in July but decided to try Basketball. She goes to a small private school and they have an elementary girls and boys teams 4-6th grade. There was only 6 girls that signed up to play and you have to have 5 on the court so it was a close call. There is over 20thing boys. These girl have to work the tails off because there is no bench rest time hardly ever. Her Coach is the most amazing Coach ever he teaches them and takes all the time with them then once he knows they know how to do something if they don't do it he will get on them in a heartbeat. The kids love him. These girls have worked so hard and have won every game except 1 and actually one of our own girls made the shot for the other team and it counted for them so we made their winning shot. Crazy right?

Look who got the job of being score keeper...Farmer
Maci taking the ball out
this one is a clear but cant see her
My little purple #7 they were fouling but little did I know 7 had enough and went to business and fouled right back at them. I had to chill her out.
Now she is my White #7 passing the ball down the court
She is now hollering STACK
Having worked so hard these cheeseburgers make them better
They even have track suits to go over their uniforms.
You will see her wearing this everywhere lol
I never played Basketball I played softball so I knew nothing about it but I love it and now wonder why I didn't even try. I love how fast pace it is. I find myself getting all rawled up and have to remind myself this is a kids game not high school.
This weekend we are playing in the Championship. I know it is going to be alot of hard work, excitement, and anticipation but we are ready.

Way to go Maci!!! I played basketball in junior high and had the best time!!! Good luck to her and the team this weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteYay Maci! Glad she is having fun! Good luck at the championship!
ReplyDeleteYay Maci!!! You go girl! I never played Basketball either...I cheered for it and it was one of my favorite sports to "cheer" for as a cheerleader. But often times I'd get too involved in the game and realize 3 seconds after a cheer started!lol
ReplyDeleteGo get 'em Maci!!! You girls will do great! And you played softball?!?! Me too! I swear we were made for each other ;)
