Whats going wrong?

I have gained over 20 pounds last year and I simply cant do this anymore. I keep saying I'm going to do something about this and I do good for one day or so but then life happens and I give up. This time I vow to not be a quitter and now I cant quit because I've told all of you I'm not quitter right? Damn straight! I didn't quiet know what to do or how to do it and when I started getting friend request on MyFitnessPal I knew I couldn't let them see me be a quitter or a cheat. So that when my brain starting going and I thought what can and should I do about this I have no clothes that fit.
I want to buy bigger clothes.....says no one ever!
With me blogging about it and making a point to blog about my progress each Friday I have no choice but do well I mean how bad would it suck to have to blog about gaining weight.
I started last Friday and thought about doing a link up with 2 cool chicks but I found out that a linkup very similar to this has just got started and I didn't want to interfere with that link up. I knew I didn't have anything going on all this week in the morning so I could hit the workout hard and go all 5 days. I live an hour away from town and I knew I had to go Tuesday but schedules to go after my workout because remember I'm becoming dedicated!
I'm making a deal with myself that if I keep it up until Easter I can go on a little Spring and Summer shopping spree. I'm not buying any clothing item until then that is my deal and Ive got to stick with it. I love rewards and find it better when I give my self one. It motivates me! I found this cute little number and wanted it for Easter and it was a pre-order it will not be shipped until late Feb so instead of ordering it in a 8-12 I ordered it in a 4-6 and Ive got to get in it my goal.

I knew I had to do something about being more active and since I'm an exercise hater I thought I would start slow and work my way up instead of jumping all in. I have had some days where I was ok with going to the gym and I have had days where it sucks ass and I cried the whole time I was there. But yesterday while do the Elliptical I realized I could only go slow when I first started and now my speed was doubled. It pumped me up so I cant wait to see what my future holds in the Gym-Workout world. I found that this Polar Watch. It tells my time, heart rate and how many calories Ive burned and for me it has been the only thing that has motivated me to workout.
Polar FT4 Heart Rate Monitor Watch
My workout routine I go after I drop my kidos off to school and I try to go all 5 days. I mostly start on the elliptical and do the whole 30 minutes and the 5 minute cool down then I move onto the machines or weights for 30 minutes. I recently got this workout off Pinterest and have started doing it 2 days a week.

I'm in the process of finding more and Ive pinned alot but Ive got to choose a lower body workout routine. My arms and thighs are the areas that bother me the most so those are what I want to focus on. I have a flat booty so I need some junk in my trunk so looking for a good booty builder.
The hardest part about making healthy changes to my life has been my eating I'm a picky eater and I love fast food, junk food, Dr Pepper and bread. So there is a heart attack waiting to happen. Ive got to change my eating and my portions. When there is french fries or bread in front of me I eat and eat and eat until over stuffed. I am willing to make a change to my eating habits but I'm still not going to do without. I'm just going to enter my MyFitnessPal and if I have enough calories then I will and if not then I will work harder and hopefully get to have it the next day. Why couldn't the good Lord make us all a size 0? I know I know I'm looking at new healthier recipes that the whole family can enjoy and I will not have to make separate meals because lets face it...ain't nobody got time for that!

  3. Do the stairmaster!!! I have thunder thighs and that definitely helped. You could also do a Pilates video. I got the Pilates for Dummies video and it's pretty hard. I've been working out for awhile, and it still gives me a good workout. I don't go to a gym, but I do have an elliptical, bowflex, hand weights and an exercise ball at home. Now there's NO excuse not to work out! I would say for now, just work on portion control. Use a smaller dinner plate so you eat less. And drink a big glass of water before you eat. It helps, i swear!

I would have a long drive to the gym. I found a few at home fitness work outs I Love! Maybe try that?
I also have a fitbit (tracks daily steps) I didn't realize how inactive I was at home. I felt exhausted chasing after my toddler, BUT I wasn't!

  7. You are doing awesome Kelli! Have you tried any classes? When I got tired of my gym routine I started taking some classes. Now I do Zumba, Body Works, and Yoga. I love the classes bc I feel like I get so much more out of my workout.

  8. I LOVE the idea of buying a new dress for motivation!! A friend of mine told me to buy my swimsuit this month and try it on every week for motivation. I was just telling Tiffany...I can think of no better motivation than looking at my fat bootie in a swimsuit in the dead of winter. Horrifying!!! I am sure to put down the brownies that way. Or at least I hope. Ha! I am so SO happy you will be joining the link-up next week!! I would never be motivated to post every Friday if it weren't for you girls so THANK YOU!!! I look forward to following along honey! I will be right there with you on the MyFitnessPal bandwagon this week. Boo!! :-)

  9. Very cute dress! And I agree I am not buying any clothes until at least the end of March. Though I am hoping the new clothes come more from being able to get into clothes already in my closet. I bought a heart rate monitor back in the fall on clearance and I have yet to set everything on it so I must do it this week.
I am the same way with eating. I am determined to start cleaning mine up more next month. I am just glad to be getting back to the gym and enjoying it again. Plus I have to get back in to a routine with school and blogging.
